Rune Factory Frontier
If you ever wished you could go somewhere else and be someone else, the world of Trampoli in Rune Factory: Frontier should be a nice escape. This life simulation game comes from the makers of the popular farming simulation series Harvest Moon. In Frontier, you'll still be able to farm and make a living, but you'll also become a warrior and explorer, setting out to find a missing girl in a story that unfolds the more you explore. Aside from farming, you can take up activities like cooking, crafting, and hunting. You'll also get to explore dungeons, make friends, fall in love, and basically do whatever you want in a game that changes every time you play.

Class of Heroes
Forget reading, writing, and arithmetic: adventuring is where it's at in Particus Academy, a school that teaches students the skills and techniques needed to explore the mysterious labyrinths that have been springing up all over the world. In Class of Heroes, a lighthearted anime-style dungeon crawler, you'll create a character and then choose your "major," which is one of 15 specialty jobs like Warrior, Wizard, Cleric, and Ninja. Then you'll join other students on assignments in these labyrinths, which are 3D mazes navigated in first-person. Would-be heroes will fight their way through over 70 of these dungeons, using the skills they've learned at the Academy to survive and eventually graduate.

Flock
Herding sheep may not sound like much fun, but the sheep in Capcom's Flock are crazy. And speaking of crazy, you'll herd these sheep (and cows, chickens, and pigs) in a UFO equipped with a tractor beam. This puzzle game has you moving these animals to a mothership instead of a pen, but you'll have to be pretty clever to successfully abduct these creatures, as it seems that they're rarely interested in going where you want them to. The UFO's tractor beam is key: you'll need to clear obstacles like gates and plants to clear a path to the mothership in over 50 very strange (pigs rolling in poop?) levels.

Legacy of Ys: Books I & II
Classic action role-playing game series Ys (sounds like the word ease) helped set the tone for many games that followed it, but these role-playing classics have yet to make a major impact in the United States. That will change with the release of Legacy of Ys: Books I &IIa great new update to a collection of the first two games released in 1989. This version adds updated 3D graphics, new music, and beautifully animated cutscenes to the almost 20-year-old story of a swordsman named Adol and his quest for the six Books of Ys.
